Get answers to common questions about our ministry, donations, projects, and how you can be involved.
How do I know my donation is being used effectively?
We maintain complete financial transparency with audited reports published annually. 100% of your donation goes directly to field ministry, and you can request specific project updates anytime. We're also ECFA accredited and maintain a 4-star Charity Navigator rating. You can view our detailed financials on our Transparency page.
Can I designate my gift to a specific project?
Absolutely! When you donate, you can choose from our active projects or select "Where Most Needed" to give our team flexibility to address urgent needs as they arise. All designated gifts go 100% to the specified project.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! Mosaic Global Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You'll receive a receipt for tax purposes immediately after your donation, and we'll send an annual giving statement each January. Our EIN is available upon request.
Can I set up a recurring monthly donation?
Yes! Monthly recurring donations are incredibly helpful and allow us to plan long-term projects with confidence. You can set up recurring gifts through our donation page, and you can adjust or cancel anytime. Monthly partners receive special updates and recognition.
How are projects selected and prioritized?
Projects are selected based on need assessments from our field partners, community requests, strategic gospel advancement opportunities, and sustainable impact potential. Our board and leadership team prayerfully evaluate each opportunity to ensure alignment with our mission and capacity to execute well.
Can I visit a project site?
Yes! We organize mission trips throughout the year where donors and supporters can visit project sites, meet beneficiaries, and serve alongside our teams. We also welcome individual visits with advance coordination. Contact us to learn about upcoming trips or to arrange a visit.
What happens if a project is fully funded?
Once a project reaches its goal, any additional designated gifts are applied to similar projects or urgent needs in the same region, unless a donor specifies otherwise. We always contact donors before reallocating their gifts to ensure it aligns with their intent.
How long do projects typically take to complete?
Timelines vary by project type. Water wells take 2-4 months from funding to completion. Church buildings take 6-18 months depending on size. Education and relief programs are ongoing with quarterly evaluations. We provide regular updates throughout each project's lifecycle.
Do I need special skills to volunteer?
Not necessarily! We have opportunities for people with all skill levels. Some roles do require specific expertise (translation, medical, construction), but many opportunities simply require a willing heart, reliable commitment, and teachable spirit.
How much time do I need to commit?
It varies! We have opportunities ranging from one-time event support to ongoing weekly commitments. Remote volunteers often need 5-10 hours per week, while event-based volunteers commit to specific dates. We're flexible and work to match opportunities with your availability.
How can I go on a mission trip?
We organize 2-3 mission trips annually to our project sites. Trips typically last 7-14 days and include hands-on ministry, cultural immersion, and partnership with local churches. Visit our Get Involved page to see upcoming trips, or attend a mission trip info session to learn more about the application process.
Can teens participate in mission trips?
Yes! We welcome teens ages 16-17 with parental consent and participation. Teens under 16 may participate if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All youth participants must complete additional paperwork and safety training.
What countries do you work in?
We currently have active projects in Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Kenya, and Pakistan. We're constantly evaluating new opportunities in other nations, particularly where there's limited gospel access and significant humanitarian need. Visit our Impact page to see our interactive world map.
How do you ensure safety in dangerous regions?
Safety is our top priority. We work closely with local partners who understand the cultural context, maintain regular communication with all field staff, have emergency protocols in place, and follow State Department travel advisories. Our missionaries receive comprehensive security training before deployment, and we continuously monitor situations on the ground.
Can I sponsor a specific child or missionary?
Yes! We offer child sponsorship programs where you can directly support a child's education, meals, and spiritual development at Yesu Afaayo Jubilee School in Uganda. You'll receive regular updates and photos. We also have missionary support opportunities where you can partner with specific field workers. Contact us to learn more about sponsorship options.
How can I stay updated on your work?
Subscribe to our newsletter for monthly updates, follow us on social media for real-time field reports, join our prayer team for weekly prayer requests, or attend our annual mission conference. We're committed to keeping our supporters informed and connected to what God is doing through this ministry.
What denomination are you affiliated with?
Mosaic Global Ministries is non-denominational and partners with churches and believers across denominational lines. We're united by core biblical beliefs and the Great Commission. We work alongside Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, non-denominational, and other evangelical churches both in the US and abroad.
